MCN_logoWe all know progressive organisations that don’t have a great track record in terms of working conditions. There can be a disjunct between stated values (equality! justice! respect!) and the treatment of workers.

What can we do to make sure our organisations and allies walk their talk?

This session will:
* explore trends in employment relationships (both broadly and in progressive sectors)
* outline the different rights of employees and contractors
* share stories of workers acting collectively to improve their organisations; and
* provide practical tips for creating fair workplaces

Presented by Clare Ozich from the Australian Institute of Employment Rights and Jake Wishart from the Media Entertainment & Arts Alliance.
