Tasmanian conservationists, campaigners and change-makers have never needed better skills, strategic thinking and tools at their fingertips.
To help develop these skills, Environment Tasmania is hosting a weekend of training in Hobart at the end of November. The training by Holly Hammond from Plan To Win will focus on story-based campaign strategy.
‘Story-based strategy’ utilises proven communication methods and tools to engage audiences, communicate values, challenge dominant cultural narratives and ultimately win campaigns.
- Make story central to your campaign strategy – Learn creative tools to bring your campaign to life with drama, characters and imagery.
- Understand framing and meme creation – Communicate your values and the central conflict your campaign addresses to engage your audience and reclaim the agenda.
- Troubleshoot your campaign challenges – Come along prepared to share what you are working on, and what you need to be more effective.
The training includes case studies from a range of local and international campaigns and practical activities applied to real-life environmental campaigning.
This campaign training workshop is a rare opportunity for Hobart – don’t miss it!
