A report-back from Melbourne participants in 350.org’s Global Power Shift in Istanbul in June.

500 grassroots activists and leaders from around the world met over six days to prepare for the next phase of the global climate movement.

Lucy Manne, Katie Higgins and Holly Hammond will share:

  • Their key lessons about campaigning from training sessions in areas such as media and communications, online campaigning, grassroots organising and nonviolent direct action
  • Insights about global movement building from an event involving participants from 135 countries, with majority participation from the developing world
  • Observations from Turkey during a time of political struggle
